200 km -Ohiopyle - Mt Davis - Frostburg - Cumberland MD - Meyersdale - Ohiopyle
Saturday June 16, 2012

Ride Description
Ride many of the classic ridges of the Allegheny Mountains. We start you straight up Sugarloaf Rd out of Ohiopyle to Confluence. Then we climb Mt Davis, the highest point in Pennslyvania at 3213 ft. We descend into Frostburg MD and Cumberland MD. Out of Cumberland we have another 2000 ft climb, plus a dirt road that takes you really close to big windmills. Once we reach Meyersdale, we cross some choppy terraine, then the course give you a break, following the Great Allegheny Passage Trail from Rockwood to Confluence. We jump off the trail in Confluence to return over Sugarloaf Rd to Ohiopyle.

Note that this ride has extended climbs at 15% grade, sections over 20% grade, and your should be able to ride 10% grade exhausted. [For me, that means I ride a 30 tooth front granny and a rear 34 tooth large sprocket]
